INTRODUCING ICELANDIC YOUTH COMMITTEE MEMBER – DAVID ÖRN INGIMARSSON

My name is Davíð Örn Ingimarsson. I’m from Iceland, Reykjavík. I’ve spent the last three years in London, studying playwriting, though my interests lie mainly in screenwriting. During my studies, I have worked with young people to create a choose-your-own-adventure video game, facilitated writing sessions for young adults, and created workshops for secondary schools in the UK.

I adore mini-series and believe they are an effective way to deliver a compelling story that evokes an emotion in the viewer, whatever that emotion might be.

I’ve written a few short films, an audio play, comedy sketches, and a multitude of plays. I believe that exciting things are about to happen in Iceland, with the coming of the younger generation of artists that are hungry to show what they are capable of.

My goal is to be a part of that wave.
