BIOGRAPHY – FREDRIK MORTENSEN

Fredrik Mortensen is a screenwriter and director from Tromsø, Norway.
He works within the realms of fiction, documentary and hybrid, both long and short formats. He is a self-proclaimed cinephile and grew up writing stories and hanging around in various cinemas, video stores, libraries and bookstores.
He took his education at Westerdals School of Communication and Stockholms Filmskola, while working in the programming committee of Oslo Filmfestival and the Eurodok film festival.
While making his own films, he freelances on other projects in various roles, always on the lookout for something that can inspire a new story. He is also the leader of the northern Norwegian department of the Norwegian Film Union.
Fredrik is attracted to outsiderism, weird things and experimental ways of telling stories. He is currently working on a mini-series, a documentary and a novel.
